We will continue to go back; hopefully next time more effort will be put into maintaining the beach.
this was our third time staying at Paparagi. We love it because it is secluded, beautiful, and so close to so much. The cabins are not fancy, but have everything you need (including a kitchen with utensils), and the staff are incredibly responsive and accommodating. The properties are located on the water (which is great), and there is a large, flat lawn area as well for running and playing (we brought bocce and badminton sets with us). It was sad to see so much plastic trash on the beach area this time (we picked up a couple of bagfuls last time--in the summer--but this time is was covered in trash), but we enjoyed the place nonetheless. Cost can vary quite a bit season to season, but for the amenities and location, it is understandable.
SO MUCH trash on the beach. It was mostly what washes in during high tide and bad weather--which is likely a lot given the location-- but there did not appear to be any attempts to clean it (recently). The whole stretch was covered in plastic waste, garbage, and seaweed. :(

Exceptional
Great location on the beach, very peaceful and cozy. A little piece of beach that you can see from the window. From the window I even saw an eagle catching a fish! Extremely clean!
All good! NO COCKROACHES TO BE SEEN! And also guys, let's be frank: it is the tropics so bugs are expected. So if you see a millipede, or even a cockroach, THAT'S OK! If you have a phobia of insects, don't go to warm places!

The host is incredibly kind to us during our stay, and he went out of his way to help!
The location is a bit remote. If you don’t rent a car, it will be hard to get around, but if you have a car, I believe it is fine.
